Madagascan port personnel have received training under the IMO Port Security Project, funded by the EU, to increase port security in the country.
A coordinated model for implementing treaties for safe and legal fishing
Key treaties under the FAO, ILO and IMO support safe and legal fishing. A workshop in Mombasa, Kenya focused on coordinated implementation of these treaties, which address fishing vessel safety, labour rights, and measures against IUU fishing.
