A visit to the cruise ship “Jewel of the Seas” and the St. John’s port facilities to experience IMO maritime security measures first-hand was a highlight of a seminar on surveillance, monitoring and communication systems for maritime security for Caribbean countries, hosted by IMO in Antigua and Barbuda (28 - 31 July). The Hon. S.C. Benjamin, Acting Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, opened the event, which was jointly organized by IMO and the Antigua and Barbuda Department of Marine Services and Merchant Shipping (ADOMS).
