IMO’s Dorota Lost-Sieminksa, Head of the Legal Affairs Office, has given a presentation on the IMO treaty-making process to the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, London Branch (7 May). The presentation included analysis of the amendments procedure and role of the statutory organs of IMO, specifically, the Assembly, Council and five Committees and outlined how every treaty adopted may assign different duties to the relevant Committees.
