Training in Kenya to boost security planning for ports

St. Vincent and the Grenadines moves to digitalize its maritime sector
St. Vincent and the Grenadines is advancing plans to establish a Maritime Single Window (MSW) to digitalize its maritime sector. As of 1 January, 2024, all IMO Member States are required to implement MSW systems to streamline port procedures and enhance efficiency.
IMO opens its doors for Open House Festival
Members of the public were invited to visit IMO’s official headquarters in London on 21 and 22 September, as part of the Open House Festival. Visitors had the chance to tour the building and meet IMO Secretary-General Mr. Arsenio Dominguez.
IMO updates ASEAN states
IMO has updated ASEAN states on its work at the latest ASEAN maritime transport working group session. The 47th session of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Maritime Transport Working Group (ASEAN MTWG) was held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam (17 to 18 September), followed by the ASEAN-US Workshop: Developing Sustainable Ports Through Policy, Planning, Partnership and Innovation (19-20 September).
