Triennial Conference Series

 

IMO is a regular contributor and sponsor of the triennial oil pollution prevention, preparedness and response Conference Series, composed of the three international conferences for the Americas (IOSC), Europe (Interspill) and Asia (Spillcon), respectively. The Conference Series enhances regional and global knowledge sharing capabilities and provides greater resources for addressing global oil spill issues facing the industry. These conferences provide a venue for experts from around the world in oil spill prevention, preparedness, response and restoration to share information in a common forum.

IMO, in accordance with article 12 of the OPRC Convention and within the framework of its Integrated Technical Cooperation Programme (ITCP), sponsors the participation of government delegates to the various conferences.
