Thematic Solution Forum 1

On Monday, 12 September 2022, IMO and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) are co-hosting a Thematic Solution Forum (TSF) during the Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2022. The aim of the TSF is to showcase the various initiatives of IMO and ESCAP related to South-South and Triangular Cooperation for sustainable maritime transport and a green recovery through projects and technical cooperation assistance.

TSF 1 (South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Maritime Transport and a Green Recovery) will be held from 15:25-16:40 (GMT+7) in Conference Room 4 (CR-4), UN Conference Centre, The United Nations Building, Rajadamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok 102200, Thailand.


Background

The GSSD Expo 2022 will be co-hosted by the Government of Thailand and UNESCAP, and is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 September 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand. 

The GSSD Expo is an annual event organised by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) to showcase evidence-based successful development solutions and initiatives, in collaboration with United Nations agencies and all other partners.

Interested participants are invited to register for the GSSD Expo and IMO/ESCAP TSF here. Participation can be either in-person or virtual.
