Evento paralelo del Día marítimo mundial
Evento paralelo 2022
El evento paralelo del Día marítimo mundial (WMDPE) fue pospuesto en 2020 y 2021 debido a la pandemia de COVID-19 y se prevé que se celebre en Durban (Sudáfrica), del 12 al 14 de octubre de 2022.
El evento consistirá en una serie de debates de alto nivel centrados en el lema de la OMI para 2022: "Nuevas tecnologías para un transporte marítimo más ecológico". Al ser uno de los eventos marítimos más importantes a escala mundial, el WMDPE se convertirá en un escenario definitivo para que la comunidad internacional haga contribuciones concretas y avance en la colaboración orientada a soluciones innovadoras para abordar estrategias de mitigación con el objetivo de reducir la huella de carbono del transporte marítimo. Además, también se celebrará una mesa redonda de alto nivel, a nivel ministerial, en la que se destacará el lema anterior, así como otras cuestiones importantes, cuyas deliberaciones podrán utilizarse como plataforma para adoptar nuevas soluciones e ideas dentro de la comunidad marítima mundial.
