Indonesia accedes to anti-fouling and bunker treaties
H.E. Mr Teuku Mohammad Hamzah Thayeb, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Indonesia to IMO, today (11 September) met IMO Secretary-General Sekimizu to present Indonesia's instruments of accession to the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-fouling Systems on Ships and the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage.

New Chilean Ambassador visits
The new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Chile to IMO, H.E. Mr. Rolando Drago, paid a courtesy call to IMO HQ today, and presented his letter of credentials to Secretary-General Sekimizu. Chile is a member of the 40-strong IMO Council.

The campaign for better implementation of IMO conventions received a boost today when H.E. Mr Mazen Al-Homoud, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to the UK, met IMO Sec-Gen Sekimizu to deposit the instruments of accession to the Ballast Water Management Convention.
